Martial Arts not only teach fighting techniques, it also focuses on stopping and preventing a fight. It is a way to learn the inner truth, to express the learned truth, and through such enlightenment, not to start in an unnecessary fight. We strive to become kind and loving individuals for our families and friends. Through the training of Martial Arts, Tae Kwon Do, the art of the foot and the hand; Hap Ki Do, the art of unifying the energy with the opponent; and Ken Do, the Way of The Sword, our members learn to use their minds and bodies as effective tools. Furthermore, Martial Arts training enhances the mind so that the body and its weapons are not misused through acts of aggression, bullying or through actions having no reason or purpose. Our purpose in our school is to allow our members to unite a sound mental attitude with a strong healthy body to overcome individual weaknesses so that we can achieve a higher state of self.
